We experienced the result of some vandals at the lake during October . We went down to the club to store away the boats and gear and noticed that one of the Laser 2000 covers had been cut along it's length . On further investigation we noted that the other 2000 had also been cut , together with the Laser and two Toppers. The replacement of the covers came to a total of £755.61 so we were forced to claim from our insurers, it still cost us £150 excess. This will probably put our premium up for the following years. The police were informed but they were unable to help.

Message from Denise

Thank you…for making last season's sailing so successful. We particularly appreciated everyone's support of the Grand Draw and Wine Tasting event which enabled us to raise the rest of the money needed to purchase a new safety boat. This we have already collected and will be ready for the start of the 2008 season. The excellent attendance at the AGM ensured that it was a successful evening and we congratulate all the young sailors who collected certificates and trophies. The committee did appreciate the plant and generous collection presented to us which we intend using when we have an instructors' get-together in early February. Good luck to you all for the 2008 sailing season. We look forward to welcoming you back in April.

We hope to run an away day at Woolvestone (near Ipswich) later in the year for the more experienced members, we haven't managed to do this for the past 3 years. Hopefully this season.

The Annual General Meeting and Prize Giving was held on the 15th September 2007. There was a good turn out with over fifty members and their parents attending. After the AGM tea, coffee and biscuits were served (thank you Denise). The awards were then presented to the members.
