At YPA we use two different type of recognised awards system, we start with the National Sailing School Awards  these are the Bronze Silver and the Gold we then progress to the Royal Yachting Association awards, Junior Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4. Adult level 1, level 2, sailing with spinnakers, seamanship skills and assistant instructor courses.

Each year at the AGM, held early September, the awards achieved by individual members are presented.
